A few months ago, I visited a local children's museum with my 3 year old son. While we were there, he loved playing with a large but simple wooden labyrinth game (see the YouTube video).
When we came home I looked for an iPhone game that could recreate this experience for him, but the ones I found were much too difficult. For example,
he had to start the game over and over again because the ball would fall into the holes in the maze, and there were multiple directions in which the ball could move (most of which did not lead to the end point…), as well as challenging time limits for his age.
This inspired me to create Kid'z Maze - a very simple labyrinth style game that my son could play on his own - a game that is simple and concentrated solely on developing hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for toddlers and preschoolers.
While creating the game, I decided to add another feature that would help improve the kids' counting skills while they're having fun with the maze - as the kids move through the maze, they pop numbered balloons and hear the numbers read aloud.
